Team Leader
We're currently recruiting for a passionate Team Leader for our Facilities team to lead and coordinate activities for the department.
The day to day...
- Lead daily department operations, including filling in for employee absences as needed.
- Complete purchasing and invoicing activities as required.
- Oversee and coordinate custodial operations across all Brillion facilities on 1st and 2nd shifts.
- Lead and coach Facilities staff, including participation in corrective action and disciplinary matters as required.
- Train employees and implement custodial processes and procedures.
- Monitor dumpster levels and coordinate with vendors for timely service and removal.
- Lead and oversee facility sanitization processes.
- Generate monthly TPM/PM work orders for Buildings and Grounds.
- Assist with and oversee Hospitality work orders through completion.
- Serve as backup support for the Facilities Manager as needed.
- Adhere to and promote established standard work practices.
- Create, maintain, audit, and continuously improve standard work.
- Train new hires, transferred employees, and cross-trained team members.
- Utilize root cause problem-solving techniques to address issues impacting departmental goals and performance.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of waste elimination, continuous improvement, safety, quality, productivity, and delivery, with the ability to identify and eliminate waste.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other Ariens Company personnel.
The qualifications...
- Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Training and communication skills
- Understanding of Lean and 6S
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to create, edit, format, and maintain documents and spreadsheets accurately and efficiently.
- Understands and has the ability to utilize the Ariens Company Standardized Problem Solving Process
- Past leadership experience preferred
- Additional education in lean, leadership, or manufacturing preferred
- May require quarterly day travel to Kenosha location
