Position: MACHINE OPERATOR
Location: Johnson Creek

Saelens Corporation (Diamond Precision) seeks a detail-oriented Machine Operator to run and monitor precision metal manufacturing equipment in our Manufacturing & Production department. Responsibilities include machine setup, safe operation, quality inspection, and accurate documentation to meet tight tolerances and production goals. You’ll interpret blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and perform basic maintenance while supporting continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing machines to produce precision metal components to specification
  • Interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings to determine machine settings and inspection requirements
  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions and quality
  • Perform routine machine adjustments, tool changes, and basic troubleshooting to maintain output and quality
  • Complete production, quality, and maintenance documentation accurately and on time
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE use and housekeeping standards
  • Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and report equipment malfunctions promptly
  • Support continuous improvement, 5S, and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Handle materials, load/unload parts, and package finished components as required
Technical Skills
  • CNC machine operation

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Certified Production Technician (preferred)
  • NIMS Machining certifications (preferred)
