Lathe Machinist
As a Lathe Machinist, you will operate a variety of CNC lathes, ensuring the production of precision parts in accordance with print specifications. Your responsibilities will include reading blueprints and CAD/CAM programs, selecting and setting tooling and offsets, performing first-article inspections, monitoring run conditions, and documenting production data.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain CNC machines to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints and CAD/CAM programs.
- Select and set tooling and offsets for machines.
- Perform first-article inspections to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor run conditions and make necessary adjustments.
- Document production data accurately.
Essential
Skills:
- Experience with CNC Lathe Machining.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading.
- Ability to edit G&M codes.
- Experience in multi-spindle turning.
- Capability to fully set up machines from start to finish.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Multi-spindle experience, ideally 6-8 years.
- Ability to edit programs at the machine utilizing G&M codes.

Work Environment:
Work in a typical machine shop setting on either the 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, or the 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
