Production Grinding Operator

Charter Aarrowcast is seeking a Production Grinding Operator to grind and finish gray and ductile iron castings in a high-volume foundry environment. In this role, you will set up and operate grinding equipment, follow detailed work instructions, and inspect castings to meet strict quality and dimensional standards. You'll work on your feet in an industrial setting, use measuring tools and material handling equipment, and strictly follow safety and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate grinding and finishing equipment for gray and ductile iron castings
• Inspect castings for defects, dimensions, and surface finish; perform rework as needed
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards in foundry areas
• Read and follow production schedules, work instructions, and quality specifications
• Use hand tools, gauges, and measuring devices to verify tolerances
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues or abnormalities to supervisors or maintenance
• Handle and move castings using appropriate material handling equipment
• Accurately record production, scrap, and inspection data in systems or on travelers
• Collaborate with team members to meet productivity, quality, and delivery goals
• Participate in training, cross training, and continuous improvement activities
