JARP Industries Inc, a leader in custom welded hydraulic cylinders and systems for OEMs across North America, is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our Manufacturing & Production team. In this role, you will develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs to support precision machining operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety. You'll collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production staff in a dynamic, team-oriented environment that values continuous improvement, innovation, and personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to develop CNC machining programs for hydraulic cylinder components.
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and/or CAM software for mills, lathes, and related equipment.
  • Select and document appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and work-holding methods to achieve quality, cost, and throughput targets.
  • Support machine setup and first-article prove-out, collaborating with machinists to validate and refine programs.
  • Troubleshoot machining and dimensional issues, adjusting programs and tooling to maintain tight tolerances and surface finish requirements.
  • Maintain organized program libraries, setup sheets, and process documentation in accordance with company and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement process improvements and standardize best practices.
  • Apply lean and continuous improvement principles to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework while enhancing safety and ergonomics.
  • Use precision measurement tools to verify part dimensions and support root cause analysis and corrective actions when needed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a culture of teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • CNC programming (mills and lathes) using G-code
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar CNC controls
  • CAD/CAM software for toolpath generation and simulation
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Tooling selection and optimization for metal cutting
  • Knowledge of machining processes for steel and alloy components
  • Troubleshooting machining and dimensional issues
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
  • Shop math and trigonometry for machining applications
  • Documentation and revision control for CNC programs and setups
  • Collaboration and communication in a production environment
  • Safety awareness in a manufacturing setting
