Pattern Maker

Kohler is seeking a skilled Pattern Maker to support precision manufacturing of kitchen, bath, and power products. In this hands-on role, you will interpret blueprints and CAD models to design, build, and repair foundry patterns and core boxes, ensuring dimensional accuracy and high-quality castings. You'll select materials, operate machine tools and woodworking equipment, and collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to optimize pattern design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to create accurate patterns and core boxes.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair wood, metal, and composite patterns using manual and CNC equipment.
• Verify dimensions and quality using precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize pattern designs for manufacturability and casting quality.
• Maintain pattern shop tools, equipment, and pattern storage in a safe, organized manner.
• Troubleshoot casting issues related to pattern design and recommend improvements.
• Follow safety protocols and quality standards in all pattern making activities.
