Plant Manager

Role Description The Plant Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in Park Falls, WI, responsible for overseeing daily plant operations in a manufacturing environment. This position manages production schedules, monitors workflow, and ensures that manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The Plant Manager leads and develops plant staff, coordinates with maintenance, logistics, and accounting teams, and addresses operational issues to minimize downtime.

Additional responsibilities include implementing process improvements, managing budgets and resources, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Plant Management and leadership of plant teams, with a focus on safety and performance.
• Strong skills in Plant Operations and Manufacturing Operations, ensuring efficient use of equipment, materials, and labor.
• Experience in Operations Management and Production Planning, including scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow optimization.
• Proficiency with manufacturing KPIs, continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and problem-solving in a production setting.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; hardwood, lumber, or related industry experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, industrial engineering, business, or related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Park Falls, WI, and manage a hands-on, fast-paced operational environment.
