We are seeking a Welder / Fabricator to become an integral part of our team! The Welder will use specialized equipment to weld metal components together with a variety of arc and gas welding equipment to fabricate or repair products.
Shift
(First Shift) 6am - 3:30pm (Monday
- Thursday) 6am
- Noon (Friday) Overtime available
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
· Responsible to maintain an environment of human dignity and ethical behavior with our associates, families, customers, suppliers, and communities.
· Responsible to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Unsafe conditions or acts are to be corrected in a timely fashion.
· Welds metal parts together using gas welding or any combination of arc welding processes.
· Performs related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
· Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and increases size of metal parts.
· Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
· Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications.
· Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothes surfaces.
· Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications.
· Repairs and maintains metal products.

Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
