L & S is looking for a General Shop Labor. We are seeking a self‑motivated professional that has excellent problem‑solving, attention to detail, communication skills, and is able to work well in a team environment.

Requirements
  • You have your High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • You’re a self‑starter with a positive attitude.
  • Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Some experience, with hand and power tools.
  • Have basic mechanical knowledge.
  • Able to stand for 8 hours per day with the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Are comfortable using your hands for grasping pushing, pulling, tightening, adjusting and fine manipulation of different size objects.
  • You enjoy working in a shop environment.
  • Fluent in English: verbal and written communication.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Teardown and Assembly of Locomotive Truck Frames.
  • Teardown and Assembly of Traction Motor Combos.
  • Test running and inspection of Traction Motor Combos.
  • Failure Analysis of the products listed above.
  • Jobs are ever evolving and changing, so you will never be doing the same thing day in, day out.
  • The products we repair/fabricate will not only be used in the United States, but worldwide.
Physical Demands
  • Able to stand for 8 hours per day with the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Are comfortable using your hands for grasping pushing, pulling, tightening, adjusting and fine manipulation of different size objects.
  • You enjoy working in a shop environment.
