CNC Technician

Job Description Boyd Thermal by Eaton is seeking a CNC Technician in our Allenton, WI location. Primary Function:
The CNC Technician is a critical member of Boyd Thermal by Eaton (Allenton, Wisconsin) manufacturing operations team. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide technical support to our CNC machining department. This position is for 1st shift (7am-3pm or 6a-2p). Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

• Develops CNC programs and software (G-Code, CAM) as required.
• Completes setup of all CNC jobs with required fixtures and tooling.
• Trains employees to set up and program CNC machines.
• Orders perishable tooling for the CNC machines.
• Approves CNC machine setups.
• Documents specific setups and processes as necessary.
• Attends any required Technical Team meetings.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Supports and follows all QMS requirements.
• Observes all Company safety guidelines and OSHA procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization on a professional level
• Basic reasoning skills and language skills (ability to read, listen, analyze, and interpret general business paperwork)
• Ability to accurately complete shop paperwork.
• Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch and use hands to handle tools, parts, and equipment
• Must have the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities are required for this job and include close and distance vision, color, peripheral vision, and ability to focus

Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles/80 kilometers) of the Allenton facility will be considered.

• Prior machining experience including CNCs, Shot Blasters, Drill Presses, Belt Sanders, Hot Dip Wash Tanks, and deburring / sanding operations
• Familiarity with ERP systems

• Regularly works on the manufacturing floor and near production processes
• May be exposed to noise, moving equipment, temperature variation, chemicals, hazardous materials, and other manufacturing conditions
• Must wear required personal protective equipment
• May work alternate shifts, overtime, weekends, shutdowns, or schedule changes based on production requirements
