Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Monday–Friday | No Nights | Correctional Healthcare | Wisconsin
Seeking a meaningful clinical role with consistent hours and excellent work-life balance?
We are hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive primary and urgent care services within a correctional healthcare setting in Wisconsin. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys autonomy, collaborative care, and making a direct impact on an underserved patient population.
Schedule- Monday–Friday schedule
- No nights or rotating shifts
- Consistent daytime hours
- Collaborative healthcare team
- Practice autonomously
- Meaningful and rewarding patient care
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results
- Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
- Provide preventive care, wellness counseling, and patient education
- Manage chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, COPD, and more
- Respond to urgent and emergent healthcare situations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation
- Participate in quality improvement and compliance initiatives
- Active Wisconsin Nurse Practitioner License (or ability to obtain)
- Current DEA Registration & Prescriptive Authority
- Current BLS Certification Minimum of 1 year of NP experience
