This role is vital in assisting with day-to-day nursing activities and ensuring the highest quality of care for residents.
As a Registered Nurse in this long‑term care facility, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the well-Being of residents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Timely communication with physicians, families, and others regarding significant changes in resident condition
- Completing all applicable resident assessments
- Administering medication while following the 5 Rights
- Performing wound care and assessments as needed
- Assisting CNAs with answering call lights
- Monitoring residents for changes in condition
- Acting as a leader on the floor by assessing and directing situations as needed
- Reporting any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to the Director of Nursing and Administrator
- Maintaining accurate resident records with thorough and accurate charting
- Performing other duties as requested
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A two-year degree in nursing (four-year degree preferred)
- A current Wisconsin Registered Nursing license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Need 1 year experience in setting
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
