Position: RN Director of Nursing in Training
Pay: $42.00 per hour
Hours: Monday‑Friday: 8am to 5pm; works every 4th weekend and 24 hours on the floor each week
Responsibilities- Learn to manage and direct all aspects of the Nursing Services Department.
- Communicate information to nursing personnel regarding new resident admissions and resident discharges and provide oversight of the admission and discharge process.
- Review nursing personnel medical record documentation to ensure that it is appropriately and accurately descriptive of the nursing care provided.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of written nursing policies and procedures.
- Provide written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing and Administrator, as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing services department.
- Learn to prepare for and participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection of nursing staff.
- Ensure that new nursing staff are properly oriented and trained.
- Learn to develop nursing staff work assignments and schedules.
- Learn to resolve complaints and grievances made by nursing department personnel.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital, long‑term care facility, or other related health care facility (preferred).
