Position Title: CNA / LPN to RN Transition Position
Location: Upland Hills Health - Dodgeville Hospital Campus
Role & Department: CNA / LPN to RN on the Medical/Surgical Unit
Hours & Shift: Part-time (0.5 FTE-0.75 FTE) P.M. shift, Every other weekend with a holiday rotation
Role ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dedicated and motivated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looking to further their career which will lead to a transition to a Registered Nurse (RN) position within the Acute Care Services department. This transition program offers a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of nursing students while providing valuable hands‑on experience in a hospital setting.
- Participating in a flexible schedule to meet student needs and accommodate full or part-time enrollment in a nursing program
- Rotating weekends, holidays, and evening shifts to gain a comprehensive understanding of acute care services
- Carrying out all duties and responsibilities of a CNA, and if the LPN boards are taken and passed, performing tasks as an LPN
- Demonstrating proficiency in CNA duties and potentially expanding skills to fulfill LPN responsibilities
- Upon completion of their respective nursing program, applying for the Nurse Graduate position within Upland Hills Health for career advancement opportunities
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or License as a Practical Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing program full or part-time
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
- Goal-oriented mindset with a desire to transition to an RN role upon graduation
