Overview

Description

Golden Age Manor is accepting applications for Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate resident care, assist with activities of daily living, offer emotional and social support, and attend to residents' physical comfort.

Responsibilities
  • Provide total or assisted daily care to residents, including bathing (bed, tub, or shower), basic grooming, feeding, toileting, and assistance with mobility.
  • Assist residents with activity preparation, transport, and participation in programs.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and observe/report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition.
  • Follow nursing department policies and procedures; read resident care cards daily; maintain confidentiality and resident rights.
  • Attend department meetings and required in-services; maintain training requirements for CNA certification (minimum 12 hours per year).
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and adherence to infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

Education/Experience & Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:

  • Current Registered Nursing Assistant on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry or willing to complete training to become a Nursing Assistant.
  • Possession of a current valid Wisconsin Driver’s License or reliable transportation.

Minimum Skills Assessment Requirements include basic computer use for resident data, ability to read/write simple documents, basic arithmetic, and problem solving in typical workplace scenarios.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment: ability to transfer/reposition residents, lift and assist as needed, ability to detect odors and hear alarms, and tolerance for typical care environment hazards. Reasonable accommodations available as needed.

Shifts and Compensation
  • Shifts available: PM (2:30–10:30 pm), Days (6:30 am–2:30 pm), and Casual shifts for 18+; schedules may include every other weekend.
  • Starting pay: PM $20/hour (base $19.00 + $1.00 shift differential).
  • Days/NOC shifts may have different starting rates; NOC shift includes an additional $3.00/hour.
  • Higher starting pay for CNAs with long-term care experience; CNAs eligible for training paid by the facility for the right candidate (call Mary at ).
  • Incentives for picking up shifts available.
