Description:
60-bed facility with a Level 4 trauma designation.
Stroke-ready facility.
17 exam rooms and a 4-bed observation unit.
Patient types include post-surgical, CVA, sepsis, pneumonia, trauma, etc.
Trauma Level III cases handled.
Pediatric and obstetric emergencies are part of patient care.
Patient ratios are 1:4.Support on the unit includes 2 ED techs from 11:00 to 23:00, and LPN from 15:00 to 03:00.Charge nurse may carry a patient load.
Phlebotomy services are available.
An IV/VAT team supports during the day.
Resource nurse is available as the charge nurse.
Respiratory therapy support is present.
Clientist coverage is available 24/7.Occupational, physical, and speech therapy services are provided.
Charting system is an electronic medical record.
IV pumps and medication dispensing systems are utilized.
Floating is not required.
Weekend rotations occur every other week.
Time off can be approved.
No on-call duties are required.
Holidays are scheduled every other holiday.
Scrub color is navy blue.
