Looking for a nursing role where you can make a difference without the constant chaos of a traditional hospital setting?
Southern Health Partners is seeking a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Medical Team Administrator (MTA) at the Jefferson County Jail in Wisconsin.
This is a hands-on nursing position with an opportunity to take ownership of daily healthcare operations. You’ll provide direct patient care, help coordinate the healthcare team, and serve as an important clinical resource within the facility.
You’ll work closely with your nursing teammate, medical providers, correctional staff, and SHP leadership to help ensure patients receive consistent, quality care.
What You’ll Do
You’ll play an important role in keeping healthcare services organized, consistent, and patient-focused.
Your Responsibilities May Include

  • Providing direct patient care, nursing assessments, and clinical interventions
  • Serving as a primary nursing resource within the facility
  • Coordinating daily healthcare activities and supporting continuity of care
  • Working closely with the nursing team member on the alternate rotation
  • Communicating with medical providers, correctional staff, and SHP leadership
  • Reviewing clinical documentation and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Following company policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting quality assurance and performance improvement activities
  • Helping identify and address patient healthcare needs
  • Participating in the on-call rotation and providing clinical support when needed
  • Maintaining a professional, organized, and patient-focused healthcare environment
