Description:
Facility has 60 beds and includes a Level 3 trauma unit.
General ICU patient types include general ICU, stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical patients, and CRRT.Patient ratios are typically 1:2, with up to 1:3 for stepdown patients.
Support on the unit includes 1-2 CNAs, a charge nurse with a reduced patient assignment, and resources like respiratory therapy and hospitalists available 24/7.Intensivists are on-site from , seven days a week.
Charting is done through an EMR system and includes specific equipment like Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis med dispensing.
Floating to areas with ICU patients may occur if needed.
Weekend rotation requires working every third weekend, with potential adjustments to support staffing needs during the week.
Every other holiday is expected for coverage.
Scrub color is navy blue.
