GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE, SEASONAL LONG TERM
The Kenosha County Division of Golf is accepting applications for long-term seasonal maintenance positions at Brighton Dale Links and Petrifying Springs. We are looking for hardworking individuals to assist in the maintenance of the entire golf facility. Candidates must work well within our team to help provide the best playing conditions for our guests. Other qualities we are looking for include a positive attitude, an eye for detail, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Knowledge of golf beneficial but not required.
2026 Pay Range: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
Long-Term Seasonal Perks
- Clothing Allowance:
Employees are eligible for a clothing allowance of up to $300 annually to be used on qualifying work-related gear. - Paid Time Off (PTO):
Employees may be granted two days of PTO at the start of each season beginning with their third consecutive season of employment. Certain conditions apply.
- Long-term seasonal employees generally work from March to November
- Start dates will vary depending on weather and golf course conditions
- Work hours are typically Monday through Friday from 5:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.
- Must be available to work alternating weekends and holidays
- Operates power tools, string trimmers, push and riding mowers
- Performs manual tasks including hand digging, raking bunkers, setting cups and tee markers, hand watering greens, and filling divots
- Picks up and properly disposes of debris and trash
- Repairs, cleans, and performs preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Must be at least 18 years old at time of application
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience in maintenance preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license at time of hire and maintain during incumbency, with acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of general maintenance work with the most efficient utilization of equipment
- Knowledge of and/or ability to play the game of golf and understand how job performance affects the playing conditions of the golf course
- Knowledge of safety precautions and procedures applicable to maintenance equipment
- Skill in the use of equipment and repair tools
- Teamwork
- Basic usage of Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions
- Ability to maintain positive interactions with co-workers and guests
- Ability to operate various golf course maintenance equipment including, trucks, sweepers, rollers, mowers, and other mechanical and non-mechanical equipment
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines
- Ability to work respectfully in a diverse and inclusive environment

Kenosha County participates in the FICA Alternative Retirement Program. Seasonal employees are automatically enrolled in this program if they do not meet eligibility criteria for the Wisconsin Retirement System (pension). The FICA Alternative plan replaces the payment of FICA tax and instead contributes a percentage of pre-tax wages into an investment account for the benefit of the employee.
