Grounds Care Technician @ Lido

Position Summary

Under the Director of Agronomy and Common Grounds Superintendent, the Grounds Care Technician safely operates a variety of tools, machinery, and equipment to support the maintenance and care of resort grounds.

This is a seasonal role running through mid‑October.

• Safely operate equipment and accessories as trained.
• Properly care for assigned equipment by inspecting machinery before and after each use, cleaning after each use, making necessary minor adjustments, and reporting problems to the mechanic.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks on the resort grounds, maintenance facility, and clubhouse as assigned. Duties may include daily chicken care, daily cleanliness checks, loading/unloading materials, trimming trees, and other horticultural tasks, landscape installation and renovation.
• Identify and inspect individual lots for cleanliness daily after checkout.
• Assess plant material on individual lots for time‑sensitive maintenance such as weed control.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate equipment.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay on task.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.

Physical activities include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating tools or equipment. Team members should be comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds as needed.

Work takes place in a resort environment with both indoor and outdoor settings. Conditions may vary based on role, season, and business needs.
