Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Four-day workweek with rotating Saturdays

- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection
- Run and assist with laboratory procedures and diagnostic testing
- Take high-quality radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging
- Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals throughout procedures and recovery
- Assist with dental procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, fluids, and treatments as directed
- Monitor hospitalized patients and provide supportive nursing care
- Educate clients about preventive care, medications, treatment plans, and postoperative instructions
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Safely handle and restrain patients using compassionate techniques
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment and patient-care areas
- Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to maintain an efficient daily workflow
- Certified Veterinary Technician candidates should hold a current CVT, RVT, or LVT credential or be eligible for credentialing in Wisconsin
- Experienced Veterinary Assistant candidates should have strong hands‑on veterinary technical experience
- Two or more years of small animal clinical experience preferred
- Confidence with patient handling and restraint
- Experience with venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
- Dental experience preferred
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
