Groundskeeper and General Maintenance

Job Description:

• Responsible for mowing Ranch grounds weekly or as needed
• Responsible for weed control in the paddocks and out of the paddocks
• Maintaining clean paddocks and shelters with the help of volunteers
• Train volunteers as needed to help complete jobs
• Assist with hay as needed
• Trimming trees/weeds on trails and Ranch leased property
• Snow removal and clean up after plows
• Applying salt to areas that need it
• Maintaining fencing and gates- both electric and non-electric
• Check fencers for any issues and fix as needed
• Keeping outdoor area neat and organized
• Assist in keeping back barn area neat and organized
• Replacing lights inside and out
• Work on maintenance projects
• Equipment maintenance and small engine repairs as needed
• Drag the arena once per week and keep sand off sides of wall
• Reports to Barn Manager and Executive Director

• Ability to work between 10-20 hours per week
• Strong work ethic
• Self-started that can work independently and also work with a team
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
• Experience working on small engines/repairs is a plus
• Positive attitude
At least 18 years of age
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Ability to work weekends and/or holidays as needed
• Ability to operate power tools and drive large machinery
