Kondex is looking for a 1st shift Quality Technician.
Hours:
1st shift, Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.
Reports to Quality Manager
POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
The Quality Technician is responsible for administering Quality System policies and procedures, performing quality planning for New Products, resolving customer issues, quality improvement activities and general problem-solving. The Quality Technician will oversee gage calibration, implement specific statistical process control (SPC) measures, and will assist with developing methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluation of company products or services.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Perform inspections of varying complexity, using hand measuring tools and advanced systems, such as CMM and optical comparator.Develop and maintain CMM programs (Zeiss, Calypso).Develop and maintain appropriate statistical controls, as necessary, to maintain processes within established tolerance.Establish and maintain inspection procedures to support the design specifications of Kondex's products.Maintain data and quality documentation.Authorize disposition of non-conforming products.Perform Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR), Part Capability Studies, Part Performance Analysis, Gage R&R, etc. as required.Monitor the gage calibration program and assist in replacing and procuring measuring devices as necessary. Train associates in new measuring devices and usage.Initiate corrective actions as investigation warrants and assist in resolving quality issues.Requirements:
Associate degree with a Quality or Engineering emphasis preferredFour or more years work experience in a technical role, with emphasis on CNC machining, stamping or heat treating; prior experience in a Quality role preferred; any combination of necessary experience and qualifications which provides desired knowledge, skills and abilitiesAdditional education and/or manufacturing experience, with exposure to inspection and statistics preferredCompletion of recognized Quality Control certification preferredAbility to work with others, leading and participating in teamsStrong communication skillsWell organized and detail orientedHighly desirable behavioral competencies include results orientation, initiative, problem solving and decision making, organizing and planning, active communications, writing skills, listening skill and team player.Kondex is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
