Initial training on first shift or second shift
, consisting of four 10‑hour shifts, Monday–Thursday. Then transition to permanent third‑shift
, four 10‑hour schedule, Monday–Thursday from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Plan may evolve as we grow.
Pay starting at $23.80/hour. $3.00/hour night shift premium (6:00PM‑6:00AM). Operates under HPWT model; associate‑driven growth, skill block system, advancement pathways.
Job SummaryPlant Lab Technicians perform laboratory tests on dairy and environmental samples. Provide accurate test results using approved methods and communicate to internal customers timely. Participate in quality programs (SQF, internal auditing) with data analysis, environmental monitoring, calibration, lab inventory, SOP development, RCA/CAPA investigations, documentation reviews. - Associate Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related discipline preferred
- One or more years of laboratory experience preferred
- Good analytical, math, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel) preferred
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Self‑organization skills
- Ability to read and use equipment manuals
Requires ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing 20–50 lbs, frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and exposure to vibration. May involve extreme temperatures, high humidity, loud machinery.
