Job Description

We are seeking a talented Dairy Flavorist for a first shift position. The Flavorist will be responsible for creating, revising, and optimizing flavors for dairy and non-dairy applications. This role involves collaboration with both internal and external customers to develop innovative flavor solutions for their products.

Responsibilities

+ Create, revise, and optimize flavors for dairy and non-dairy applications.

+ Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Application Scientists to create customized presentations for key/target clients.

+ Maintain excellent customer relations with support from Sales, Marketing, and Applications teams.

+ Manage complex projects while maintaining multiple priorities and timelines.

+ Perform analytical testing for flavor and ingredient formulation.

+ Ensure professional development to stay current with new flavor development and flavor processing techniques.

+ Taste all foods and translate flavors into sensory lexicon.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in research and development.

+ Analytical chemistry skills, including HPLC.

+ Proficiency in flavor creation and flavorist techniques.

+ Dairy experience.

+ Background in food science and new product development.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Flavorist Certification.

+ BS in Food Science with 5 years of experience preferred.

+ Open to candidates with less experience but preference for senior candidates.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

+ Familiarity with quality inspections, lab testing, and aseptic techniques.

Work Environment

The position offers a stable work schedule with weekends being extremely rare. Overtime is typically during the week and limited to 1 or 2 hours at the most, ensuring a balanced work-life environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $200000.00/yr.

This is a direct placement opportunity. benefits will be provided by client upon start or on consultants request.
