Overview

The primary focus of this position is to provide exceptional guest service by operating a cash register and assisting guests with a “Say Yes to the Guest” attitude. This individual is responsible for scanning, ringing and/or entering customer merchandise into the cash register, collecting customer payment and delivering appropriate change, bagging and assisting customers with questions or concerns.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, collecting money, checks, electronic payments, and coupons from the guest, making correct change, and ensuring the security of the cash drawer at all times.
  • Scan or ring items accurately and efficiently, identifying and keying in department numbers, producing items, UPC numbers, looking up numbers, weights, and other items that are unable to scan.
  • Assist guests with locating merchandise and answering questions and/or concerns, including bagging guest merchandise as needed.
