Merchant

Duluth Trading Company is seeking a Merchant to drive product and merchandising strategy for our durable workwear and outdoor apparel lines. You will own category assortments, sales, margin, and inventory plans across channels, using data and customer insight to shape line plans and in-season actions. Partnering closely with design, planning, marketing, and e commerce, you'll guide product launches, pricing, promotions, and storytelling that reflect our practical, hard working brand.

This role blends analytics, product passion, and retail acumen to fuel growth and elevate the customer experience nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own category merchandising strategy aligned to Duluth Trading's brand and customers
• Plan seasonal assortments, sales, margin, and inventory targets across channels
• Analyze performance, customer data, and trends to optimize line plans and in-season actions
• Partner with design, planning, marketing, and e commerce on product launches and storytelling
• Negotiate with vendors on cost, terms, and delivery while maintaining quality standards
• Manage pricing, promotions, and markdowns to achieve sales and margin goals
• Monitor inventory health, replenishment, and exit strategies to minimize excess
• Present business results, insights, and recommendations to leadership
• Lead cross-functional line reviews and go-to-market calendars
• Support continuous improvement in merchandising processes, tools, and reporting
