Description
The PCP/Endo Business Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing a plan to maximize net sales of BIPI and co‑promoted diabetes products. The role aligns with BIPI commercial leadership and follows BIPI guidelines, policies, and directives. The specialist conducts business with key targeted healthcare providers, community hospitals, teaching hospitals, federal and military hospitals, managed health care facilities, group purchasing organizations, integrated delivery networks, and other relevant customers.
Base salary range for the PCP/Endo Business Specialist: $115K to $181K.
Base salary range for the Executive PCP/Endo Business Specialist: $140K to $222K.
Additional compensation may include discretionary bonuses, relocation, and other elements.
- Utilize product knowledge and selling skills to influence healthcare professionals to support BIPI promoted diabetes products. Execute brand strategies to ensure accurate sales and marketing messages.
- Develop pre‑call plans, foster customer relationships, and maintain timely follow‑up to build trust and facilitate decision making.
- Identify key customer plans, engage in discussions on payer environments, co‑pays, and formulary access, and coordinate with Managed Care Area Managers to support product placement.
- Analyze territory information to optimize business plans and resource allocation, using supporting tools to monitor activity and maintain records.
- Identify and engage thought leaders, innovators, and advocates; manage speaker programs and budgets within standards.
- Collaborate with all customer‑facing roles (e.g., account teams, medical teams) to meet customer needs and achieve sales objectives, adapting to account‑based ownership transitions.
- Perform all business in compliance with regulations and company policy, reporting violations promptly and maintaining high ethical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of successful sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, pharmacy, B2B, or customer engagement services.
- Preferred experience in the diabetes therapeutic area.
- Demonstrated performance history and alignment with key competencies.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight travel; must reside in territory or be willing to relocate.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to use company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Physical demands: daily travel, stairs, lifting up to 40 lbs.; visual demand: state motor vehicle vision requirement.
- Must manage diverse stakeholder relationships and maintain compliance with export laws.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of successful sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, pharmacy, B2B, or customer engagement services.
- Preferred experience in the diabetes therapeutic area.
- Demonstrated performance history and alignment with key competencies.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight travel; must reside in territory or be willing to relocate.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to use company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Physical demands and visual demands are identical to the PCP/Endo Business Specialist role.
- Must manage diverse stakeholder relationships and maintain compliance with export laws.
