Regional Manager managing Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and portion of WV. Managing a team of 12 Territory Managers and Siding Specialists. A RM will work to develop a plan for growth and maintain positive/profitable growth. Primarily acting as a mentor and liaison to our Territory Managers and Siding Specialists holding them accountable in achieving set company sales & growth goals.
Duties include (not limited to):Manage, Coach and Train Territory Managers (TM) and Siding Specialists (SS) on a daily basis:
- o Live within region. (Ohio, Michigan, Indiana)
- o Travel with field sales team, help mentor coach and build strong relationships with our partners.
- o 50% + travel with team withing region expected.
- o Work closely with RBP (Regional Business Partner) to manage the region, performance, and team.
- o Advocate/Network with department heads for alignment and ensure tools and resources for your region are visible as needed across the company footprint.
- o Manage team goals, conversion targets, training needs, and set goals/expectations for team.
- o Meet monthly for 1 on 1 with team to discuss territory progress, areas of improvement.
- o Schedule, Plan and Lead regional sales meetings (Monthly via Teams), (Quarterly in person).
- o Approve, Manage
- o Onboard new hires, create training plans, put them in a position to be successful.
- o Direct TM/SS Management as follows and not limited to:
- o Assist in interview and hiring of prospective TMs and SS.
- o Maintain appropriate HR records and approve time-off, schedules as needed.
- o Work with Human Resources in order to write performance/corrective action plans for employees as needed.
- o Review sales reports and identify sales opportunities for the region.
- o Meet with Director of Sales to develop marketing strategies for your region.
- o Work with TM and SS to develop and implement action plans that will grow sales with current customers by conversions to our products and identifying new customers as well.
- o Communicate with Director of Sales on inventory and customer service needs.
- o Write month & year-end sales summary reports.
- o Assist TMs and SSs with set up, planning and execution of customer events.
- o General working knowledge of residential construction, players, industry, partners.
- o Strong people skills needed in order to developing and sustaining relationships that would result in growth of our key products.
- o Manage regional vendor relationships, ensure teams are working together and engaged.
- o Leadership, coach, mentor to team.
- o Must be organized in all aspects.
- o Communicate and share information with supervisors and other regional managers.
- o Important to be organized and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- o Candidate must be energetic, motivated, self-starter and able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- o Important to possess the ability to be coached, trained and mentored by others.
- o Must have very strong verbal, written, presentation and communication skills.
- o Display professional behavior to all internal and external contacts in conjunction with policies and procedures as outline in the employee handbook.
