Job Overview

Position:
Ranger in West Salem, Wisconsin

As a Campground Ranger, you will patrol the grounds, answer guests’ questions, enforce rules, and ensure the safety and satisfaction of all visitors.

• Walk or patrol the campground grounds, responding promptly to guests’ inquiries and ensuring compliance with resort policies.
• Handle stressful situations calmly and in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor the property for potential issues and keep the grounds secure.
• Enforce resort rules, address concerns, and contact law enforcement when necessary.
• Screen incoming guests at the gate to confirm acceptable access.
• Conduct routine patrols and inspect golf carts and rental equipment.
• Process camping reservations, check guests in and out, and sell day passes and items at the store.
• Prioritize guest safety and overall satisfaction.
• Provide on‑call emergency service as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills and proficiency with computer applications.
• Team‑orientated and collaborative in a work environment.
• Ability to assess situations, make quick judgments, and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Experience in security, law enforcement, or an RV environment is a benefit.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
