Reports To: Project Manager/Site Supervisor
Location: Dunnville, Ky
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing building frameworks and structures such as walls, floors, and door frames. This role requires strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and adherence to safety standards. The Carpenter will work closely with the construction team to ensure all carpentry tasks are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other construction materials for walls, floors, and frameworks.
- Construct, install, and repair structures, frameworks, and fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, and partitions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to ensure accuracy in work.
- Assemble and install wood and metal frameworks for new buildings or renovations.
- Safely operate hand and power tools to complete carpentry tasks.
- Work closely with other trades to complete tasks efficiently and ensure structural soundness.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all site safety regulations.
- Report to the Project Manager or Site Supervisor regarding project progress and any challenges encountered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry, preferably in a construction setting.
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training is a plus.
- Proficient in carpentry techniques, materials, and tools.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
- Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
