Position Overview

The Equipment Operator performs general labor as part of a small team to repair and replace sewer systems, gas lines, and other infrastructure. The role involves site excavation and loading, water service, spot repairs, pipe bursting, trench work, concrete pouring and finishing, and assisting field technicians when heavy machinery is not in use.

Responsibilities
  • Perform water service, spot repairs, pipe burst, trench excavation, concrete pouring and finishing.
  • Be available to arrive early or stay late as workload demands, in varying weather conditions.
  • Operate equipment for general site preparation and related assignments.
  • Assist in plumbing related activities when not excavating.
  • Ensure proper care, maintenance of equipment and supplies, and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety.
  • Work in confined spaces and open trenches.
  • Avoid hazards such as utility lines and falling objects.
  • Perform other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • CDL or Chauffeur's License.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organization.
  • Stress tolerance.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Plumbing License (Preferred).
  • Mechanic skills a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to lift, pull, and push up to 100 lbs.
