Journeyman or Residential Journeyman Electrician
Hours:
Full time, hourly, 40 hours per week
Pay: $30.21/hr - $32.36/hr depending on licensure

The Journeyman or Residential Journeyman Electrician is responsible for ensuring the safe, code-compliant, and efficient installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar PV systems, energy storage, and related electrical infrastructure. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and leadership in regulatory compliance and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:Solar Power System Troubleshooting and Maintenance
- Diagnose and resolve system errors and fault conditions with minimal customer inconvenience.
- Service PV systems and replace damaged or faulty components.
- Apply expert understanding of NFPA 70, including sections 690, 705, and 706.
- Follow industry best practices when installing PV systems.
- Act as job site expert on electrical safety, code compliance, and best practices.
- Communicate regulatory requirement changes to the Electrical Department in a timely manner.
- Identify and remediate regulatory risks without delay.
- Verify plans, one-lines, and permitting documents to ensure materials are available before installation begins.
- Lead daily job site safety evaluation meetings in alignment with Ethos Safety Policy.
- Record and report all injuries and near misses.
- Maintain and submit safety records as required.
- Collaborate with Electrical Coordinator to review and update Ethos Safety Policy.
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers and Ethos employees.
- Ensure all relevant parties are informed of applicable matters.
- Participate in The Ethos Process through inquiry, open communication, and collaboration.
- Offer assistance across departments and pursue knowledge of Ethos operations.
- Maintain customer and job information in CRM, digital, and paper systems.
- Manage personal schedule and time-off requests through established systems.
- Collaborate with coordinator to improve existing systems, processes, and procedures.
- Support adherence to Ethos internal policies, laws, and regulations.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as directed.
