Job Title
Inspecting, Servicing, and Repairing Diesel Trucks, Barges, and Heavy Equipment
Job DescriptionThis role involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing diesel trucks, barges, and heavy equipment, with a focus on diesel engines and hydraulics. You will be responsible for diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs and installations, and following a regular maintenance schedule to ensure all machinery is operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively.
WhatYou'll Do
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with heavy equipment, PMs (Preventive Maintenance), and repair.
- Willingness to travel if needed.
- Truck ASE certificate.
- Ability to work on a variety of equipment.
- Welding skills are preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, including safety rules, operating procedures, manuals, etc.
- Ability to complete tasks and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- CDL A is a plus.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints is a plus.
- Comfortable working under diverse weather conditions and in water-based environments.
- Strong ability to work cooperatively with others, following directions accurately from supervisors and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Diligent adherence to all occupational health and safety regulations.

- May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities require close vision assessments. Moderately loud noise levels in the work environment.
- Steel toe boots are required.
