Our Service Technician Apprentice position is designed for individuals who are new to the heavy-duty truck industry and ready to learn a skilled trade. Whether you're beginning a new career path, transitioning from another industry, or have mechanical interests but limited professional experience, this position provides an opportunity to learn alongside experienced technicians while gaining hands-on experience.
We're not looking for someone who already knows everything. We're looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically curious, willing to learn, and ready to build a career.

Overview:
The Service Technician Apprentice is an entry-level position focused on learning and developing the skills necessary to become a successful Service Technician.
Working alongside experienced technicians, this position will gain hands-on experience in commercial truck maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs. Responsibilities will increase as knowledge, skills, and confidence develop.
Previous dealership or heavy-duty truck experience is not required. We will provide training and support to help the right individual learn and grow.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside experienced technicians to learn commercial truck maintenance and repair
- Assist with basic preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections
- Learn proper use of shop tools, equipment and diagnostic resources
- Assist with the removal, installation, disassembly, and assembly of parts and components
- Learn to read and understand repair orders, service information, and technical manuals
- Follow check lists to ensure critical vehicle components are properly examined
- Learn to recognize worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components
- Assist with basic troubleshooting and diagnostics as skills develop
- Properly identify and handle warranty parts and returns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Participate in applicable technical and manufacturer training
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Develop positive working relationships with team members and customers
- Take on additional responsibilities as skills, training, and experience progress
Basic Qualifications:
- Interest in learning diesel technology, commercial truck repair, automotive repair, mechanics, or skilled trade
- Previous fleet or dealership experience is not required
- Mechanical aptitude or interest preferred
- Willingness to learn and receive hands-on instruction
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
- Commitment to developing technical skills and knowledge
Licenses/Education/Training:
- Previous technical education or training is welcomed but not required
- ASE certification is not required
- CDL is not required to begin the position; future requirements may vary based on job responsibilities
- Willingness to participate in applicable training and development opportunities
