Conagra Brands is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems supporting food production and cold storage. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance on compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, and controls; monitoring ammonia and other refrigerant systems; ensuring regulatory and safety compliance; and documenting work in a CMMS.
You will collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement in system reliability and energy efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on compressors, condensers, evaporators, and controls
- Monitor and maintain ammonia and other refrigerant systems per regulatory standards
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records in a CMMSSupport safety programs, including lockout/tagout and refrigerant handling procedures
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to plan repairs around operations
- Recommend and support continuous improvement and energy-efficiency initiatives
