Location: Pittsville

As a Foreman HVAC at Cool Sys, you will lead field crews installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC-R systems for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. You'll coordinate daily work, allocate labor and materials, and ensure jobs are completed safely, on time, and to spec. You'll mentor technicians, troubleshoot complex issues, and verify quality, code compliance, and documentation. Partnering closely with engineering and maintenance teams, you'll support energy-efficient, reliable solutions while modeling Cool Sys' safety-first, customer-focused culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise HVAC-R installation, maintenance, and repair crews on customer job sites.
  • Plan daily work, assign tasks, and ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues.
  • Verify code compliance, safety practices, and proper use of tools, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement energy-efficient system solutions.
  • Train and mentor technicians, providing on-the-job coaching and performance feedback.
  • Review plans, drawings, and work orders to confirm materials, equipment, and labor needs.
  • Complete job documentation, including reports, change orders, and time and material records.
  • Interface with customers on-site to clarify work, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Support continuous improvement in field processes, safety, and technical best practices.
