Location: Granton

Cool Sys is seeking a hands-on Foreman to lead HVAC wholesale installation, maintenance, and repair projects in our Engineering and Maintenance department. You'll supervise field technicians, coordinate schedules and materials, and ensure safe, high-quality work on commercial and industrial HVAC-R systems. The Foreman works closely with customers and project managers, driving a safety-first culture, mentoring techs, troubleshooting complex mechanical/refrigeration issues, and delivering efficient, reliable solutions that meet Cool Sys standards and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise HVAC-R technicians on installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
  • Plan daily work, assign tasks, and coordinate labor, tools, and materials.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety policies, codes, and company standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, refrigeration, and control issues.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, efficiency, and compliance with specifications.
  • Communicate with customers, project managers, and vendors on job status and requirements.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate field technicians to build technical capability.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, time reporting, and material usage records.
  • Support start-up, commissioning, and optimization of HVAC-R systems.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement on every job.

Required Skills

  • Commercial/industrial HVAC-R installation and service
  • Reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Mechanical and refrigeration system troubleshooting
  • Electrical and control systems basics for HVAC-RJob planning, scheduling, and crew coordination
  • Knowledge of safety standards, OSHA regulations, and codes
  • Brazing, piping, and leak detection techniques
  • Use of HVAC-R diagnostic tools and instruments
