Job Duties for Plumbing / Sewer tech
- 1+ year of construction, plumbing, excavation, landscaping, or related experience preferred.
- Willingness to learn underground sewer and water-line installation.
- Comfortable performing physical labor throughout the workday.
- Ability to dig, shovel, move pipe, stone, dirt, and materials.
- Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to learn proper installation of PVC, SDR, PEX, and other underground piping.
- Willingness to learn how to properly grade and slope sewer lines.
- Ability to assist with excavation, trenching, pipe installation, back filling, and restoration.
- Willingness to learn and safely work around mini excavators, skid steers, compactors, and other equipment.
- Understands the importance of trench safety and utility locating.
- Able to work in crawl spaces, trenches, basements, and difficult conditions.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Willing to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Able to follow directions and work effectively as part of a two-person or larger crew.
- Shows up ready to work and follows through on commitments
- Takes pride in quality work and attention to detail
- Communicates clearly with customers and teammates
- Works safely and follows established processes
- Takes ownership, solves problems, and is willing to keep learning
