Sanders Collision is looking for a skilled and dependable Auto Body Technician to join our team. The Body Technician is responsible for repairing collision-damaged vehicles while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities
  • Perform collision repairs according to manufacturer specifications and repair procedures.
  • Inspect vehicles and identify damage requiring repair or replacement.
  • Disassemble vehicles as needed to properly identify and access damaged areas.
  • Repair, replace, and align damaged body panels, doors, fenders, bumpers, hoods, and other components.
  • Perform structural and frame repairs when required.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welders, frame equipment, and other collision repair equipment safely and properly.
  • Repair dents and damaged metal and plastic components.
  • Properly fit and align replacement parts and body panels.
  • Prepare repaired surfaces for refinishing, including sanding, grinding, and body filler work.
  • Reassemble vehicles after repairs and ensure all components are properly installed and functioning.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, finish, alignment, and quality.
  • Communicate with the estimator and management regarding repair progress, additional damage, and parts concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer repair guidelines.
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining a high level of workmanship.
Qualifications
  • Previous auto body or collision repair experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of collision repair procedures and vehicle construction.
  • Ability to read and understand repair estimates and manufacturer procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to safely operate automotive repair tools and equipment.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and perform physical work throughout the day.
