Journeyman Electrician - Build a New Electrical Division

Pay: $50-$90 per hour Compensation based on licensing, experience, technical ability, independence, and production capability.

We are launching a new electrical division within an established home services company that already serves thousands of residential customers. Our sales and operational infrastructure is in place, and electrical opportunities are already being identified every day.

We're looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician who wants more than just another electrician job. This is an opportunity to help establish the foundation, standards, processes, and future growth of a residential electrical department.

The initial focus of this role will include residential electrical installations and upgrades such as:

• Panel replacements and service upgrades
• Meter equipment installation and replacement
• Service mast installation and repairs
• Grounding and bonding systems
• Disconnects and feeders
• Switch, receptacle, and outlet replacement
• Electrical safety corrections and code compliance upgrades
• Residential electrical infrastructure improvements

This work represents the foundation of a larger long-term plan to develop a full-service Electrical Service, Sales, and Installation Department.

• Complete electrical work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with NEC and local code requirements
• Execute approved scopes of work from start to finish
• Maintain professional workmanship and jobsite cleanliness

• Confirm field conditions before beginning work
• Evaluate existing electrical systems
• Identify potential issues and recommend solutions
• Determine materials, labor requirements, and installation sequencing

• Maintain code-compliant installations
• Prepare projects for inspections
• Coordinate with utilities, inspectors, permitting agencies, and other trades as needed

• Communicate professionally with homeowners
• Protect customers' homes and property
• Complete work with minimal disruption

• Assist in developing installation standards and best practices
• Help establish quality-control procedures
• Contribute to inventory, material, and process planning as the division grows

• Journeyman Electrician license (as required by state or local regulations)
• Strong residential electrical experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Strong understanding of NEC requirements and jobsite safety practices
