This position is partially or fully grant funded. Employment beyond the term of the grant award may be subject to approval by Executive Council.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Provides outreach services to families and develops individualized service plans.
- Assists with family placements, home safety checks, and monthly and regular client visits.
- Prepares case reports and documentation to present updates in Tribal Court.
- Arranges and schedules appointments and services for families as needed.
- Meets with Family Service Division programs and other tribal/county programs to provide information for case management for clients.
- Develops case plans concerning any tribal member, if an investigation supports an administrative or judicial finding that the tribal member is in need of care.
What you'll need to be successful:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three years' social services and case management experience.
- Ability to maintain on-call responsibilities: on-call approximately 18 weeks out of the year, as determined by staff schedules.
- Evening and/or weekends, extended hours, irregular shifts and travel required.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.
- Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses.
- Must have a valid, clean driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the Tribe's insurance.
- Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Communication, and Psychology or related field.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).
- Knowledge of reunification guidelines, processes and practices.
