Lutheran Social Services (LSS) is seeking a compassionate and motivated Human Services Professional - Specialized to provide skill-building, psychoeducation, and supportive services to individuals and families in their homes, schools, and communities. Working under the supervision of a Licensed Therapist or Therapist-In-Training, you will help clients build independence, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve their goals.
- Provide individual and family psychoeducation and skill development services
- Support clients with daily living, parenting, social, employment, and community engagement skills
- Collaborate with clients, families, treatment teams, and community partners
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support positive outcomes
- Complete timely documentation and maintain accurate client records
- Participate in recovery teams, supervision, and ongoing professional development
- Respond to client needs through flexible scheduling, including some evenings and weekends
- Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field required
- Relevant degrees may include Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Marriage & Family Studies, Special Education, and other related fields
- Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges is preferred
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the community required
- Passion for helping individuals and families thrive
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered care
- Strong organization and documentation skills
