Substance Use Treatment Support

Lutheran Social Services seeks a Substance Use Treatment Support professional to assist clients engaged in recovery services within our mission-driven, faith-based nonprofit. In this role, you'll provide direct support through group activities, skill-building, and recovery coaching while helping clients access resources, appointments, and community supports. You will collaborate with clinicians and case managers, document client progress, and help maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and encouragement to clients in substance use treatment programs
• Assist clients with group activities, skill-building, and recovery-focused routines
• Monitor client progress and document observations accurately in case records
• Coordinate with counselors, social workers, and healthcare professionals to support care plans
• Educate clients on community resources, harm reduction, and relapse prevention
• Support client intake, scheduling, and follow-up appointments
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and trauma-informed environment for all participants
• Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding client needs, risks, and successes
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities
• Uphold LSS mission, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines in all interactions
