Position: Youth Direct Support/Daily Living Skills Coach(Part-Time/Flexible)
Location: Lake Mills

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support/Daily Living Skills Coach to provide part-time, flexible support to youth as they build independence, confidence, and essential life skills. In this role, you will work closely with young people to encourage personal growth, reinforce positive routines, and support day-to-day activities in a respectful and strengths-based environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to youth in developing daily living, social, and independent living skills.
  • Model and coach positive routines related to hygiene, organization, time management, meal preparation, and personal responsibility.
  • Support youth in setting and working toward individualized goals.
  • Encourage skill-building through patient, consistent, and trauma-informed interactions.
  • Assist with community-based activities, appointments, errands, and recreational opportunities as needed.
  • Document observations, progress, and relevant information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and other support professionals as appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment at all times.
  • Follow agency policies, procedures, and all applicable confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with youth in a supportive, educational, behavioral, or direct care capacity preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting, positive relationships.
  • Patience, reliability, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfort working independently and adapting to changing needs and schedules.
  • Basic organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and practice sound judgment.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in social services, education, youth development, behavioral health, or a related field.
  • Experience with coaching daily living skills, mentoring, or direct care support.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed, person-centered, or strengths-based approaches.
