JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Boys and Girls Club of Gitchigami Youth Development Professional
LOCATION: Red Cliff Boys and Girls Club of Gitchigami
SALARY: $16.00/hour, 40 hours/week
SUPERVISOR(S): Director of Youth Services
THIS IS A REGULAR FULL-TIME NON- EXEMPT POSITION 40 hours per week; work schedule will vary on the days between Monday through Saturday, typically from 11:30am-8pm in the fall-spring time, and Monday through Friday, typically from 8:00am
-4:30pm in the summer. Hours may vary based on planned activities.
JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain the Red Cliff Boys & Girls Club of Gitchigami within the assigned hours of each week ensuring proper functioning of the facility as well as all youth following the rules of the Club.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESNone
KNOWLEDGEGeneral knowledge of various ages and stages of child development as well as activities, both physical and social-emotional, that correlates to the scale of development.
QUALIFICATIONSIndividual will have daily contact with youth and staff. Contact also includes those with community members and parents of youth.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSIndividual should be in good physical condition and be able to keep up with the demands of overseeing youth activities that occur in the youth center building. Bending, lifting, sweeping, and carrying of objects less than 25 pounds is a part of daily work.
WORK ENVIRONMENTMost of the time will be spend at the youth center facility. The Boys & Girls Club of Gitchigami is a smoke free environment/building. All Tribal Buildings are smoke free.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSMay consist of transporting with youth to and from local destinations, such as the Bayfield Recreation Center.

Any behavior or attitude that tarnishes the name or image of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa will be subject to immediate disciplinary action up to and including termination.
Indian preference will be applied in the case of equally qualified applicants, but all qualified applicants will be considered.
