Extension is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a Direct Hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Pewaukee, WI.

• Engineering team of 20 professionals, including data scientists and senior software engineers.
• Focused on innovation, clean code, and regulatory compliance within FDA-regulated environments.

• Contribute to both new feature development and maintenance for a large-scale, FDA-regulated software codebase
• Develop, test, and maintain software solutions while following secure coding practices and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, reliable products.
• Participate in design documentation, code reviews, testing, and traceability reporting.
  
  Support annual product updates, including occasional extended hours and weekend work (~6 weeks).

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and UI design skills.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Preferred experience in regulated industries (FDA, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Pluses:
• Java-J2SE or Java Swing
• 3D visualization or image processing
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• $100,000 – $140,000 annually (based on experience)

Schedule:

Primarily standard business hours with flexibility during annual product releases.
