• Get students to and from school safely and on time
• Drive your route confidently in all kinds of weather and traffic
• Create a respectful, safe environment on the bus
• Build great connections with students, parents, and school staff
• Help students who need a little extra assistance getting on or off the bus
• Keep your vehicle clean, fueled, and ready to roll
• Handle daily safety checks and basic maintenance
• Follow all transportation laws, school policies, and route directions
• Check the condition of a vehicle s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure everything is in working order
• Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner
• Drive gasoline, diesel, or electrically powered multi‑passenger vehicles to transport students between neighborhoods, schools, and school activities
• Keep bus interiors clean for students
• Follow safety rules as students board and exit buses or cross streets near bus stops
• Maintain knowledge of first‑aid procedures and maintain order among students during trips to ensure safety
• Pick up and drop off students at regularly scheduled neighborhood locations, following strict time schedules
• Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of students or trips, hours worked, mileage, or fuel consumption
• Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions; record bus routes
• Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations, using telephones or mobile two‑way radios
• Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs; regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for student comfort
• Report delinquent student behaviors to school administration

• A Class A or B CDL or the willingness to get one (we ll train you!)
• Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements or the ability to get them
• A clean driving record and the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screening
• Great communication skills and a calm, friendly attitude
• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
• A desire to be a positive influence in your community
• Be at least 21 years old
• Hold a valid WI driver s license with a clean driving record
• Pass a background check
