Job SummaryThe Class A CDL Driver is responsible for the handling and transportation of bulk solid waste. All deliveries are short-haul, same-day routes, where you will be returning to the home location at the end of each shift. The Class A CDL Driver will strictly adhere to DOT government regulations and Sagepoint Energy's operating procedures while working independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Transport manure/solid waste to proper destinations in accordance with Sagepoint polices, DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Properly load, transport and unload manure/solid waste into trailers and lagoons by attaching and detaching 50-75 pound hose from trailer
- Drive safely in various conditions, including heavy traffic and inclement weather
- Perform pre and post trip vehicle safety inspections
- Input manure deliveries into facility computer system and complete facility manure slips for gas credit compliance
- Assists with various facility operations
- Assist with planning delivery schedules and routes
- Accurately complete Bills of Lading, and other documents as required
- Must follow all applicable DOT regulations and OSHA compliance
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment

- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement
- 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience with Class 7 or 8 trucks and trailers
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years of age
- Clean driving record (requirements may vary)
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting truck or trailer issues
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety
- High standard of integrity and professionalism
Field work will include work outside and exposed to the weather, high elevations, confined spaces, electrical components, both stationary and rotating equipment, manure and other agricultural wastes, gases and liquids that are compressed/pressurized, toxic, caustic, or acidic, and/or flammable, dust, exposure to high heat/cold weather, high winds, and high noise.

Satisfactory performance of the essential duties of this job will require standing, kneeling, sitting, and walking as well as fine motor skills (especially of the hands) and the extended reach of arms. Climbing, balancing, stooping, crouching, and crawling will be required. Regular senses of smell, hearing, and sight are required. The capacity to regularly lift up to 75 pounds is required.
WorkEnvironment
The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties for this position, the employee is primarily located in an office environment.
While on project sites, the employee may be exposed to wet or humid conditions and all-season outdoor weather conditions such as extreme cold or extreme heat. The employee may occasionally be asked to work in high/precarious places and/or confined spaces, work within proximity of moving mechanical parts, be around fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, biogas, may be subject to loud noises and strong vibrations, and encounter frequent truck and equipment traffic.
CompensationSalary is paid on a bi-weekly basis and will be consummate with the value and experience the candidate brings to the role. In addition to base salary, compensation includes the option to participate in company sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance plans and in a retirement savings program as well as paid personal time off and holidays. You will also be eligible for Short-Term Incentive program paid out at 1.5% of your annual salary on a monthly basis if goals are met.
