Helper​/Driver

Veterans Thrift Store are looking for Driver Helpers who can help pick up donations around San Diego County.

Veterans Thrift Stores, established in 1964, is dedicated to supporting veterans and giving back to the local community through various charitable programs. This full-time on-site Driver/Helper role is based in San Diego. As a Driver Helper, you will assist the driver with loading and unloading goods, ensuring all donations are transported safely and efficiently. You will also support in maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety, while providing excellent customer service throughout the donation pick-up process. Daily responsibilities will vary based on pick-up schedules and operational needs.

• Class C California Driver's License plus a good driving record
• Willingness to learn how to drive and operate a box truck
• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with a focus on professionalism and teamwork
• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs independently
• A commitment to safety and attention to detail in all tasks
• Previous experience in a related role is a plus, but not required
• Basic knowledge of Truck operations and willingness to assist in maintaining truck cleanliness

Tuesday--Saturday from 8:0am-4:30pm with overtime as needed.
